Expansion on Markham Stouffville Hospital
The Markham Stouffville hospital has finally gotten the OK to go ahead with plans for further expansion. The expansion is expected to deliver more space and modern equipment to better serve the constantly growing population of Stouffville and Markham. However, because the provincial government is not funding this project, the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation Foundation is looking to raise $50 million from the community.

The new Markham Stouffville hospital will be able to treat more patients, provide better access to tests and services, and provide progressive care with more advanced equipment. The expansions are expected to offer enough physical space to add 100 beds, add more operating rooms and diagnostic capacity.
